I've tried again! :) - using my user together with pulse audio manager everything is ok - user squeezeboxserver is now part of the groups audio, pulse, pulse-access - using arecord with squeezeboxserver user I get this output: user@server:~$ sudo -u squeezeboxserver arecord -D pulse -f cd test.wav Home directory /home/user not ours.
