My mistake - I had incorrectly set my favourite to wavein:0 instead of wavin:0 when I was doing one of my tests and forgot to restore it. I realised when I saw that it didn't matter what I put in the tunein url I received the same cryptic error in the server log related to fixpath.
Thank you so much for your assistance. I just have to work out how to reduce the delay which is around 16 seconds in mp3 / flac and 7 seconds in pcm.
