1) Not really - we're not using the XBMC player so there's no hook into the visualization. Best you could do is set some sort of screensaver up as a pseduo-visualisation.
2) I am not using json, rather the CLI - I will look into this but no promises! Thanks for the examples... (Also, patches welcome... the code is on googlecode if you fancy a stab at the python code... http://code.google.com/p/bossanova808-xbmc-addons/ ) 3) Skinning it would be great - check the provided Confluence file, it documents everything pretty clearly I think.
