If I run into a file that plays via squeezeslave & fb2k but can't seem to be played by iPeng on my iPod Touch, do you want to know about it?
The file in question is a m4a (but named m4b) audio book created from WAV sources and encoded by faac.exe. Foobar2K reports the file as: Duration: 5:14:42.096 (832 700 416 samples) Sample Rate: 44100 Hz Channels: 2 Bitrate: 52 kbps Codec: AAC Codec profile: AAC LC Encoding: lossy Tool: FAAC 1.28 Just confirmed that the file plays on the iPod if xferd via iTunes. iPeng's player produces only silence.
