While squeezeboxserver has an API to add an entry to the extras menu,
there's no facility to un-add one, or at least none that I could make
work. So, once all your players are pushed over to mysqueezebox.com and
the local server is shutdown or asleep, the Extras/SrvrPowerCtrl menu
entry becomes orphaned. I've tried, tried, tried to fix this over the
years, but to no avail. If you look at the code for the stock Info
Browser plugin, you'll see that the slim devices developers had to
resort to a ugly hack by providing an Info Browser app on the
mysqueezebox.com side to kluge around this problem. On the
Controller/Radio/Touch, I might be able to accomplish the same thing
with a custom, locally installed app on those devices. But I don't
think there's anything I could do about iPeng.
