More on this, this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?77084-RC-%28Inguz-etc-%29&p=542603&viewfull=1#post542603 says that there is a problem with Apple Lossless, I haven't read through to the end of the thread to see if there is any resolution, I'll leave that to Bixby.
