Hi,
I have a windows machine running LMS 7.7.2. The machine has a wireless NIC which connects to a broadband router for internet etc. I have a Squeezebox 3 connected via a seperate wired ethernet NIC in the same machine. The ethernet NIC and the Squeezebox are setup with static IP addresses to connect to each other. When I run the self test everything passes (including "Streaming from Spotify") until: "Player did not connect to helper app - check your firewall allows the helper app to receive incoming connections from players on the helper app port defined above" I have unblocked spotifyd in Windows firewall. If I run netstat I see the following output: TCP 127.0.0.1:49742 Donnie:9000 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.1.253:9005 Donnie:49741 TIME_WAIT TCP 192.168.1.253:9005 Donnie:49744 TIME_WAIT TCP 192.168.2.11:3483 192.168.2.10:39371 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.2.11:9000 192.168.2.10:39379 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.2.11:9000 Donnie:49740 TIME_WAIT TCP 192.168.2.11:9000 Donnie:49746 TIME_WAIT Donnie is the name of the windows machine running the server. It's two IP addresses are: 192.168.1.253 (dynamic IP assigned by wireless broadband router to wireless NIC in Donnie) 192.168.2.11 (static IP assigned to the wired ethernet NIC which the squeezebox is connected to) The squeezebox has the static IP 192.168.2.10 assigned to it. Does it look from the netstat output that the spotify helper app is listening on the wrong IP? I tried typing the full IP:PORTNAME address into the advanced settings for the spotify plugin in the LMS web client but it only saves the bare port number without the IP. Do I need to find somehow to make the spotify helper app listen on 192.168.2.11 instead of 192.168.1.253? If so, how can I do this? Cheers! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ czarak's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=46803 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
