I've tried to update the plugin as shown in your post, but it still remains in v1.83. The repo link states that it's indeed the v1.83 and not 1.84. Is there a step i may have missed ?
Did you add a repository manually on the plugins page? If so - remove it. Pierre's is outdated and no longer maintained. Just rely on the default repository, which should bring you 1.85.
