I have noticed that Smart mix crossfades too soon between songs.
That's not under the plugin's control. All it does is fill the playlist with tracks.
Sometimes the switch to the next song happens before the end, not a period of quiet, near but not at the end.
Please start a new thread with information about what music service you're using.
