Have you had a look at the user guide? There's some setting up to do, and many options. Does your renderer support flac or pcm? If so, you should set up the <codecs> option in the configuration file to include whatever is supported. The default is only mp3, which we are now told doesn't work with Spotify.

Squeezelite to PC sound. Minimserver (server) and upplay (control point) to same amps & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Meridian USB Explorer DAC from PCs to speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop controls LMS/upplay via Firefox.
