@slartibartfast: did you just update the packages or did you do a dist-upgrade? I would not recommend upgrading to the next Ubuntu version. Just a guess: it seems to have a different perl version (5.20). The squeezeboxserver (and the CPAN-Sources) won't start because it needs to be rebuild with this perl version.
