@bruinboy: the message "unable to resolve host" suggests that your raspberry has problems to find the IP address of you Mac in your network. Do you have different subnets or maybe one device connected by Wifi and a router with a setting that disables connections between Wifi and lan? If you could login via SSH to your Raspberry and test by doing a ping to your Mac "ping 10.0.1.198" -> would be interesting to see what happens. You could also try to Ping the Raspberry from your Mac-Computer. You find the IP-Address of the Raspberry on the WiFi/LAN Settings Page.
