Hi both work fine. I think I arrived at the final URL a slightly different way, mentioned in the original post.
Right click on the game of your choice on the game slider on the BBC Player and choose "Save Link As". Saves a playlist called audio_event_stream_065.m3u8 which has the same URL. Thanks for the help. No doubt I'll have forgotten when the next round of games come up.
