Restart the App (by killing it). What happens is that you probably have
some stuck process downloading data in the background. iPeng modifies
the system volume so it can use the volume buttons but still have the
playback volume controlled by the server. If re-setting the system
volume and reading it overlaps iPeng can miss a value and then entering
the App changes the system volume (because the server-side volume gets
applied) but that change is also being read-out as a volume-change
command.

Normally iPeng handles this, it just gets confused if the shutdown isn't
completed, yet, when you re-enter.
