As a general rule, cache entries will expire in about 15 mins if you leave the system alone making sure nothing references the BBC menus (i.e. make sure players playlist are empty) . Each time you try a bad cache entry you reset the lifetime. > I have tried simply restarting LMS but that does not work. You probably didn't wait long enough between stopping LMS and starting LMS with newer faster system you need to wait a couple of minutes when taking this approach to clearing cache.
