Changes on the Settings will take effect the next stream played - no need to restart LMS or reinstall the plugin. BBC have killed off mostr of the formats so for on-demand choose setting with only HLS and DASH - Flash has gone and MP3 was never there. For live there are MP3 streams still so choose a setting with HLS, DASH and MP3. Regarding the the Radio Station Timeout - this setting does effect HLS format. In general I would suggest keeping Radio Station Timeout at least 15 secs. Please provide more info when you are making assessments rather than fuzzy "seem any better" - what are the message in the log file when using HLS ? Did you have any problems with DASH playng R2 highest bitrate stream when using the WHS 2003 system ? If you had none of these problems with WHS2003 and now have problems with W10 on a better system same network/ISP etc - then either coincidentally BBC server issue or else problem with W10. If issue is W10 based then it is likely to be security related - AV, firewall etc mucking about examining and delaying packet streams or possibly Windows DNS caching issues discussed elsewhere.
