After too many late nights trying to work this out I need a little help for a linux noob.
HiFi shield audio works well until squeezelite is installed. Squeezelite totally breaks the audio in Ubuntu. I've got Squeezelite running on an Odroid C2 with the stock Ubuntu Mate 16.04 OS. Issue is that I can only get audio over HDMI from squeezelite. Even that is flaky as sometimes there is no audio at all. Just clicking the Ubuntu power button turns on audio from squeezelite.
