I've just noticed something else about the issue, and a bit of an ugly way of working around it....
If I open Squeezer and make an initial attempt to connect to the LMS server, wait a few seconds, kill the Squeezer app from the Android task view, then re-open Squeezer it will take me directly to the main LMS music menu - i.e. having connected to the LMS server. It seems that Squeezer may be connecting to the server, but not closing the "Connecting" pop-up message (and hence not allowing me to get to the main music menu). After that everything is fine. It's not exactly convenient, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Something else I've noticed is that the problem does not exist on my Nexus 7 (gen 1), which is running Android 4.4.4 and connecting to the same LMS server. So it seems to be an issue with the LG G4/Android 5.1.
