As It was coming up I've just done the same for the 14:00 news. I started the stream at 14:00 (nearly) and played for 3 minutes. During that time it re-buffered every few seconds meaning that only about 60% of the audio was played. It's likely that this is the heaviest time of day for BBC R4 as it's the Archers (probably their most popular show) straight after the news.
