There will be no legal waynof saving the music . A music service is rental , just like renting dvd's wad you have a local copy but are not alllowed to copy it further. You only have the rigth to listen while renting the music . Premium keeps ads away and give you other things like the use of devices like squeezeboxes and local copies ! But they afe imho just a local cache to make playback possible in all situations ? You never bougth anything bu making a local copy
Huge amount of money ? Ha ha ! take 3333*10-15$ or what a cd cost near you ;) You can save 3333 tracks per device locally at least >30 000 $ of cd purchase . how many years rent ? This is exactly why you should keep physical files of music you really care for , any streaming service can fold any day. And there is no interoperability you cant transfer your library to your next streaming provider , you have to fudge and tinker a lot to rebuild it on the next service , where probably 20% of the content will be missing for licensing reasons or be replaced censored versions :) . I will probably move over to tidal , mostly because spotify has a silly max track limit 10000 "your music" yes your saved albums can not contain more ? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub.
