For the upcoming 2.1 release of Apache Geronimo we are using the 1.2.0-SNAPSHOT version of the Pluto as the basis for a pluggable administration console. So far this effort has been very successful due in no small part to the great flexibility of your new spring based portal driver. The administration console uses a customized navigation.jsp for listing the available portal pages (administration tasks). I would like to request a new feature that would allow an icon to be provided in the PageConfig that is passed to the navigation.jsp.

I have developed a small patch that implements this feature. It is attached to:
    https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PLUTO-437

In this patch I also modified the default navigation.jsp and driver config XML for the portal driver to use navigation icons. These changes are not strictly required for Geronimo since we are using a customized navigation.jsp. I just thought you might want the default portal driver to take advantage of this feature. If you are open to this type of new feature then please take a look at the patch and the screenshot in the JIRA.

On a related note, how soon would you be willing/able to create a 1.2.0 release from trunk?

Best wishes,
Paul
