Hi Werner, thanks!

btw ... sorry I wasn't able to meet with you when you were in Böblingen. I
was really under water at that time, and wasn't able to really look left or
right, so I sort of missed the boat on that opportunity. I would like to
meet with you some time if the chance presents itself.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen, / Kind regards,

I would like to propose a new committer for the Apache Pluto project -
  Mohd Ahmed Kahn.

Ahmed quickly came up to speed with portlet programming in a very short
time after joining my team. He has written quite a number of high-quality
test cases for the version 2 compatibility portion of the version 3 TCK,
which is also hosted by the Pluto project. I feel very confident that he
will continue to make great contributions to the project by working on
the version 3 TCK and on the Pluto portlet container itself. Please
support Ahmed in becoming a committer for the project.

  thanks,
  Scott

here is the introduction he wrote for himself:

  =====
I am a master's student of Technical University Munich. I study
Informatics and currently doing an internship of 5 months in IBM. I
mostly do web development and have developed quite an understanding of
  web technologies.

I got introduced to Apache Pluto Project as part of my job at IBM. I
started with developing prototype applications of Portlet API 2.0 and
running them on Pluto. I quickly developed interest in the project and
begin contributing in the TCK (Technology Compliance Kit) for JSR 286
(Portlet Specification 2.0). As I go from one module to another, I learn
a new feature of Portlet API, implement it and also test it, which is
quite interesting and complete way of learning the API. It's been one and
a half month since I started and I am making good progress on the TCK.
Once I am done with JSR 286, I will also contribute in writing TCK for
  JSR 362 (Portlet Specification 3.0).

Having contributor rights to Apache Pluto repository means –
I can work independently and commit my work regularly.
Opportunity to work and gain experience in an Open Source Project in a
  vast community of developers.
A significant volunteer experience for my job profile and link to the
  repository for showcasing my contributions.

With this motivation, I would like to become a contributor to Apache
pluto project. I believe that I have the enthusiasm, technical skills and
learning capacity required to turn out as a committer for the project. I
assure you my dedication and diligence.

Hoping that voting process goes well and I could join the team.
