Hi folks,

just wanted to try and check out Pluto quickly. I downloaded the latest
installation binaries from http://portals.apache.org/pluto/download.html.

Installation went fine and I got Pluto running, great. I would like to try
deploying a portlet. Oops, there's no admin portlet for that. I remember
reading about it...aha, no, that was for Pluto 1.0.1 and I seem to be running
1.1.

Well, I quickly DL 1.0.1. Hmm, which one? There's rc1 and rc2, and folder
1.0.1-rc3, which is empty. Well, I'll go with rc2 then. Install, and it's up
and running.

Now I will check out the Admin portlet. There's even description in the
documentation:

- Assemble your portlet application into a valid war.
- Start Pluto and navigate to http://localhost:8080/pluto/portal, the local
Pluto home page.
- Click on the Admin navigation link. The Admin Portlet App should appear.

Fine, that seems simple. Hmm, admin navigation link? What? There's no admin
navigation link.

Maybe if I login. Documentation does not mention this but there's
tomcat-users.xml with some usernames and passwords, I will try those. OK, login
successful, still no dice. No admin link anywhere. Frustrating.

What gives? Did I screw up or did you create bad documentation?
