Btw. the gnome-power-manager for F8 contains a shell script that wraps around dbus-send: $ gnome-power-cmd.sh command required: suspend, shutdown, hibernate or reboot Nevertheless, a wishlist for new packages is at: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/WishList There is no need to file a bug.
