Patch against sleep.d/99video to save/restore radeon backlight

I use a ThinkPad T42 (2378FZU) in the ThinkPad Mini-Dock (Model 2878) with a
DVI monitor. I run Kubuntu Gutsy and disable the T42's built-in LCD using
xrandr:
xrandr --output LVDS --off
Using KPowersave and pm-utils to suspend to ram and then resume, the state of
the ThinkPad's lcd backlight is not preserved: The backlight is off before
suspend but it's on (with blank screen) after resume. This is annoying and
wastes power if the backlight is not turned back off.

I should note that I'm using pm-utils 0.99.2-3ubuntu1 from Kubuntu Hardy with
some modifications taken from
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/pm-utils/

The attached patch against sleep.d/99video uses savestate and radeontool to
save the backlight's state on suspend and restore it on resume. I tried doing
the same for the radeon's external dac "radeontool dac" but that didn't
work--it seems something changes the dac's state before sleep.d/00clear is run.
But for me at least, the state of the external dac doesn't seem to matter--no
observable effects on display or power use.
