If you have got Mapserver and PHP Mapscript running on Debian then just 
install p.mapper as usual and described in the manual and the quick 
install. You might think of this
   http://svn.pmapper.net/trac/wiki/DocQuickinstall#Directoryimageslegend
if until now you just used p.mapper on Win XP. The only hardcoded 
absolute path left is in the map file, so you need to check this too. 
Otherwise I don't see what should make a difference between Win and Linux.
