I don't know how often now people asked 'why not add editing functions
to p.mapper', just go back in the mailing list archive. I always reply
'you're welcome to do it'. Then usually nothing's heard any more (it's
in principal similar with adding other features). So I stopped for now
writing long mails if and when and how, etc, because I have better
things to do.

pmapper has a first plugin mechanism (not documented yet ...) so people
can try on their own to add what they want. Have a look at the plugins
dir at the SVN, there is one for coordinates display, another basic one
for adding points (not editing!) will follow.
