Hi All, I am using p.mapper 3.0. I have sucesfully configured it and its running absolutely fine. i would like to move to an upper level and am trying to build a query module for extended searching attached. (I read it in the wishlist of Andre. in a forum and the requirements are on the sane lines).
I am stuck in the very early stage and I have been trying hard to find the solution to start querying the map. How do we attach a new interface to pmapper, like we have layers, so that the users can build custom queries. for e.g.: First you should be able to choose on which layer you would like to query, then you should be able to choose from a list of fields and then you should be able to select from a picklist of values derived from that field, accessable by a <http://svn.pmapper.net/trac/>button. and then the operators >,<,=, AND, OR, NOT, etc etc... I am not able to find the correct approach of how this can be done, like which are the files that need to be modified, Which are the files that need to be modified/linked in order to achieve the requirement. I have searched the documents and the web resources but didn't find any resource that gave a guideline for that. Once the initial push is given i hope it will be quiet easier. Waiting in Anticipation. Regards Samee. - the *p.mapper version* used (e.g. *1.1.0*, or development snapshot * pmapper1_2006-02-20*) - PHP version; if appropriate, the operating system (Windows, UNIX) - For JavaScript errors: the browser type used (IE, Firefox/Mozilla, Opera) - A *clear description* of the problem, including where appropriate - the error text from PHP error log and JavaScript console - the circumstances under which the problem occurs - configuration settings in the *config.ini* - code snippets - parts of the map file (e.g. layer definitions) - If possible, an online link to the application - Any additional particular configuration settings (like using a proxy, etc.) - Use *meaningful subjects* for your postings to the mailing list. This facilitates the search in the mailing list archive. - After you solved the problem, please take the time to write a *mail back to the mailing list* so that others that might experience similar problems can know if the mentioned solution was successful ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
