Asking again - is this document in-scope for the PMTUD wg? If not currently in-scope, can the charter be worked to bring it within scope? (Abstract and pointer to document appear below:)
Fred [EMAIL PROTECTED] Abstract IPv6-in-IPv4 tunnel endpoints support an MTU of 1280 bytes or larger via static prearrangements and/or dynamic MTU determination based on ICMPv4 messages, but these methods have known operational limitations. This document proposes a new MTU determination mechanism for IPv6-in-IPv4 tunnels that supports larger MTUs using a link adaptation scheme with tunnel endpoint-based segmentation/ reassembly and dynamic segment size probing. http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-templin-linkadapt-01.txt > -----Original Message----- > From: Templin, Fred L > Sent: Monday, November 07, 2005 7:34 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [pmtud] draft-templin-linkadapt-01.txt > > FYI, here is a pointer to the document on path MTU over tunnels. > > http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-templin-linkadapt-01.txt > > Is this in-scope for the WG? > > Fred > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > _______________________________________________ > pmtud mailing list > [email protected] > https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/pmtud > _______________________________________________ pmtud mailing list [email protected] https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/pmtud
