Thank you, Petko, this is what I was looking for.
I will create some links e.g. in http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/Functions
to point out the one-to-one relationship between the page object of ReadPage/RetrieveAuthPage
and the entries in the actual page text file like in wiki.d

Feel free to edit the documentation at every place where you would expect to 
find this information: it could help other users. The documentation is a wiki 
too, maintained by the community, and it can always be improved.
