I think it looks good.As far as the licenses, I have no idea... would it fall under artistic stuff? The only problem I can see is with the direct copying bit. If its manually redrawn/merged, then we have just been inspired.
I think we can leave it as it is.The icon works in Opera for me, but it doesn't seem to work in IE. Maybe IE ignores the file icon.png. Anyway, I don't use IE so I don't care :-)
