Nigel, thanks for the suggestion. I did look at those recipes, as well
as at GeneratePDF, before I wrote.
All the PDF recipes look very good, but for several reasons I passed
on them, at least for this quick project:
- They seem like overkill for my task at hand.
- My screen output is already just what I want to print - these
solutions might mess that up.
- The simplest recipe (PublishPDF) requires me to install (compile?)
htmldoc package, which I couldn't make much sense of (I'm not an open
source development pro).
- The other recipes appear to be major packages with a learning curve.
- I'm using Pmwiki's Creole recipe. I imagine GeneratePDF, being
simple and written in part or whole by Pm, would handle Creole fine,
but I'm not so sure about the other recipes. For example, I don't see
any reference to Creole markup in WikiPublisher's manual.
I'm hoping there are a couple of lines of code I could insert into my
local template to do what I want. If not, I may have to "buy the
entire farm to pet that cute pony".

You should certainly investigate PublishPDF, which uses
WikiPublisher to format Wiki pages, pagelists and wikitrails. It
generates PDF bookmarks and fixes up all the internal references;
but any references to pages outside the set being published will be
external references back to the wiki. So you just have to make sure
that you include all the pages you need...

What's the simplest way to create a PDF page with internal links and
anchors using PmWiki?
I'd like to create a standalone PDF document, which contains a list
of page summaries and sections extracted from the pages in my wiki,
with each item cross referencing the others.
