While you're looking at removing the need for wikitext, please consider 
something like EditMore as part of the core. That recipe allows you to 
edit (:title:), (:description:), (:keywords:) (:tags:) and (:notes:) 
without knowing the directives. Unfortunately, despite the author's 
help, I couldn't get it to work on my installation.
