I'm looking for a way to avoid using http://My_Domain.com/uploads/ as show in
the below example.

I attempted to use with no luck...
{=$SiteUrl}
{=$ScriptUrl}
.$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].
and
{=$UploadDir}
