>From what learned from dating a Muslim, and from the subsequent curiosity
on Shia message boards, the objection was not that they were Jews. The
objection was that they were "these people imported from the Western world,"
bringing their Westernized ways with them. These ways included making land
boundaries, changing the way real property was divvied up. It took away a
sense of
community present in the more socialist-thinking Arab world, and replaced it
with a Western model of capitalism-type operations. It brought in Western
values, which were in conflict with a way of life mandated by God.
I am not necessarily taking a side at the moment, but I am explaining the
objections, as I understand them, of the Arab world to the Jewish Settlers.
