Hank--I don't know how to get the message to the Chuck Schumers, the Nancy
Pelosis, the Harry Reids and the other powerbrokers in the party. They
baffle me as to how they can be so out of touch, so terrified of the Bush
people. And OUR people have muzzled Howard Dean. So the Party hierarchy is
totally ineffectual. It's maddening.
Oh--you asked how we're going off the cliff---by their supporting candidates
who blend in with the wallpaper or are too extreme and, thus, appeal mostly
to the farthest left. It doesn't make sense what they are doing. Nobody
seems to "get it." The Dems have lost their balls completely. As much as I
had liked Hillary in the past, she will doom us to a lost election if she
runs.
Even down here in the redneck-land, the reds seem crazy over Guiliani and
next, McCain. But I doubt that Guiliani would be at the top of the ticket.
McCain would. We are in the worst kind of trouble ever.
Before I close, I want to say I HOPE I am wrong on every count, but these
thoughts are my intuition.
Oh, Hank, I am in a state of despair.

(I didn't ask you, Warren Greer posed that question to you. All posts are
under my address with the sender's address in the body of the text. P.S.
The Dems have been emasculated by Republican control of the congress, the
court and the executive. The political system in this country is
systemically flawed, as is our economic system. Hank)
