Well, Hank, I appreciate your view too, which is why I am a vigorous
opponent of it. But otherwise I love you, and I am a sincerely interested
subscriber to the list - although I have not posted much on other topics. I
read it for the things you post. Personally, I do not like blogs or the web
for reading others' views because I prefer the one-message-per-screen that
characterizes mailing lists. It is sort of like a real conversation when a
thread develops. List messages do not share their context as much with
unrelated messages and can thus maintain a focus over long intervals.
