The article linked from the fightback list, If Truth Really Mattered (Israel
would always win hands down) was excellent. Thanks for writing it. As a
progressive and a Zionist I find it almost incomprehensible for others
claiming to be so concerned about peace and justice not to understand that
taking defensive measures to protect a whole population of people against
those who are sworn to destroy them is not reactionary nor wrong. In fact it
is very progressive to save lives which Israel does everyday; sometimes with
what seems to outsiders to be harsh measures. What would they say if Israel
and Israelis who some on the left erroneously compare to Nazis did nothing
and allowed more Jews to die. They will, it seems always be criticized,
mostly from prejudice, as described in that article, but also as the article
says, "If Truth Really Mattered, Israel Would Always Win Hands Down".
Thanks. If anyone missed it in fightback they should be subscribed there
too. The link was http://pnews.org/news/index.php/IfTruthMattered
