PNEWS POLICY (and left-wing Liberalism): PNEWS is neither left nor right - just the truth and justice // Natural selection is just as much a product of civilization as it is biological evolution. If anyone should know that intimately, it should be the Jews. Nowhere has there been a society where love of Jews is a component of coexistence EXCEPT where Christians need Jews to convert in the last days to insure the "second" coming of Jesus Christ. While the thought of this may be seem offensive, it has really been a benefit that Christians have been among the most loyal supporters of Israel (it wasn't always the case), -- in spite of Christian motivation to convert the Jews to bring on the Christian "rapture." - and liberals and Marxists have also been Israel's most vehement detractors (although it wasn't always that way either). And that is why we are in a period of Jewish post-liberalism. Jews just can't afford to be liberal-left anymore and those of us who have traditionally been part of the left have been betrayed too many times to continue with this charade - and we can no longer align ourselves with the extreme left. To continue doing so would be suicidal and just plain stupid. PNEWS has changed over time, just as positions on the left has changed and transmogrifies and after over 20 years on the InterNUT and "progressive" news and views, is now "Post-Liberal" News and Views. Our primary directive and "line of march" at PNEWS is: "From Each According to Ability, "To Each According to Needs" isn't in our the U.S. Constitution, but it should be. AND politically we seek truth; we oppose racism and antisemitism, of which anti-Zionism is a part. There is a very real complicity and connection between supporting those who would destroy Israel and kill Jews and antisemitism. Those who support the destruction of Israel are supporting the destruction of the Jews. That position is untenable. We still seek peace and (dirshu mishpat) justice, and as Hillel said, "If we are only for ourselves, what are we?" But he also said, "If we are not for ourselves, who will be?" (paraphrased). We must oppose this one-sided, imbalance where Israel is concerned. There have been double standards for too long where the Jews (and Israel) are concerned. That must stop and we will not go quietly; Above all, we (Jews and others who stand for truth) say to the world, NEVER AGAIN!
