I am trying to read PNGs created with GIMP (using default options,
version 2.2.10) with PNGWriter, however when I run the program I get
the error:
PNGwriter::readfromfile() - WARNING **: Input file is of unsupported
type (bad color_type). Output will be unpredictable.
Using a PNG supplied with PNGWriter, it's read by the program and
outputs expected results. Opening up the "working" PNG in the GIMP and
pasting the contents of the "non-working" PNG and saving the
subsequent file also works.
The only difference I can find (using rox-filer properties; nothing
else shows a difference) is that the non-working PNG appears to be
RGBA, whereas the working PNG is RGB.
I've tried playing with the settings in the GIMP, but nothing seems to
work. Are there any particular settings that should need to be checked
to produce usable PNGs?
