Hi,
I just managed to install pocl in Ubuntu 10.04 64bit (I built from src LLVM-3.4
and pocl-0.9; clang-3.3). How to verify that it works?
There is AMD APP SDK 2.9 already.
My OpenCL application doesn't mention pocl in the list of available platforms.
I tried "make check", but all tests fail. Here is output of example1:
Setting of real/effective user Id to 0/0 failed
FATAL: Error inserting fglrx
(/lib/modules/2.6.32-53-generic/updates/dkms/fglrx.ko): Operation not permitted
Error! Fail to load fglrx kernel module! Maybe you can switch to root user to
load kernel module directly

3.000000) = 36.000000
OK
I already know, that when I start any OpenCL application, it fails to load
fglrx. But CPU device works well after that.
So these first lines are the reason why all tests fail.
But these lines also tell me, that even standard tests use libOpenCL from APP
SDK. How to force them to work with POCL?
BR,
Oleg.
