I actually went to the first LGM, which was quite brilliant. In 
particular, I've never ceased being glad I got to meet Marti Maria, the 
author of lcms. He's quite an amazing guy and incredibly good at 
explaining colour systems & concepts.

It was quite bizarre meeting the Scribus folks, though, as I'd never 
even seen photos or spoken to the folks I'd worked with. The mismatch 
between my mental images and the reality was often ... remarkable.

Alas, living in Australia, it's a *very* long way to Poland. An 
expensive long way, not least because it's via Singapore and London. I 
don't think I can really justify it - much as I'd love to go. After all, 
my involvement isn't exactly central in either project.
