Hi I just thought I'd note here that I've had a pretty big performance issue reported that appears to end up being exponential growth in free list management costs as the free list grows.
The problem file (which I cannot unfortunately post in public) is an Adobe Illustrator document that has a huge and very sparse xref, with sometimes hundreds of free objects separating every real object. It's doesn't open after half an hour or so of processing on my machine.
