Hi,

Currently this is on purpose to differenciate between direct and indirect 
objects (those who have an owner are indirect).
I do not think, it is much of a hassle to keep a reference to the 
PdfVecObjects to resolve references. So, even if your suggestions has a small 
benefit for the user of the library, I do not think such a big change is a good 
idea as it might effect other code you depends on the behaviout of GetOwner() 
returning NULL for direct objects.
