My frustration levels are lower now.  Sorry all for my below rant.
To get rid of the Windres error the latest version of Cmake you can use is
2.6 Patch 4.  That's what I'm using and it builds fine.  I'm using a Mingw
compiler on Windows XP.

I also add -DHAVE_BOOLEAN to my compiler flags or you get an error at
around 10%.

For once I'm glad I can help someone.  I hope this works for you.
