Hey,
if you really need a fallback you need to install that font on the PC
you are working on first. You could, for example, use a "unicode
complete font" like Arial unicode or whatever's out there.
Then you can do the "getGlyphWidth" trick (which Zyx talked about in his
mail) and decide wether or not you want to use your fallback font.
Podofo itself can not (and should not) do that substitution, because
podofo relies on the installed font from the system its currently
working on.
