Hi, thanks for your answer. My understanding of signing is not really editing the signature field, furthermore the signature gets filled into the signature form field. Just like filling in other form fields, where not the field itself gets changed, but some content is added. The application I am currently working on is not changing any PDF at all, it just automatically fills in forms and signs it. Since none of the fields is generated programmatically, I dint want the signature field to be generated too. If I generate the signature field programmatically, the creator of the form (which is not me) has no control of where exactly the signature is and what it looks like. And I would have additional effort to find a place for the signature field, currently the code example delivered with PoDoFo is placing it on a new page, but I don’t want to create a whole new page containing nothing else than a signature. Please let me know if I got this logic wrong. The incremental signature makes sense too, of course.
