Hello,

I am new to Ubuntu and have always worked on Windows. However, I am required to
work on a virtual machine with 16.04 Ubuntu. My current project will be to
create a PDF search engine. The first step would be to be able to parse through
a PDF. That’s when I came across PoDoFo. I am aware of the documentation
regarding the classes included in the PoDoFo library and think it’s brilliant.

I am having trouble finding any sort of documentation or help with installing
and compiling PoDoFo. I think I have installed the library as I can find it on
my virtual machine in /usr/include but I am lost after that. I have also
installed the necessary dependencies:

  *   cppunit (optional)
  *   freetype2
  *   fontconfig (Linux/Unix only)
  *   libjpeg (optional)
  *   libtiff (optional)
  *   libpng (optional)
  *   OpenSSL
  *   zlib
Any help regarding compiling and then using PoDoFo would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Beatriz Manrique
