Attaching patches (diff -upr old.dir new.dir) is much better than
manually describing the change. Such descriptions tends to break too
easily and cause confusion, with compare of real patches.
The change you suggest seems to me as fixing only the second level of
the outlines, not the whole tree.
In the light of [1], it also depends how you use it in general,
especially whether the source document is freed before the destination
document is saved. At least on the first look.
