Thank you, I've applied the patches and recompiled podofo.
It appears it's a PDF (structure) issue since I receive the same
errors while I can convert some "regular" PDFs. Here's what I want to
implement:
1. Convert SVG image to a PDF (rsvg-convert, works OK, retains vectors).
2. Convert RGB PDF to CMYK PDF (ghostscript, works OK, might group
objects but no big deal).
3. Change a limited set of color values (say, up to 40) in CMYK PDF to
other predefined values (e.g. saving colors and thus costs for
printing).
Now this is how I envision the process now and it works for 1 and 2.
For the 3 the ideal would be custom C(++) program that I intend to
create using podofo library yet I would like to prove it with a test
using podofocolor.
And it looks like PDFs produced by 1 and 2 are not well suited for
podofo(color). This might be SVG styles related (e.g. defined in STYLE
tag or by STYLE attributes for SVG elements) and/or ghostscript related.
So if anyone has any clue or successful PoC (Proof of Concept) for
your own SVG images to PDF conversion and using podofo, it would really
help.
After researching I see the points 2 and 3 might be combined by using
a custom named color structure (look-up table) with ghostscript -
https://ghostscript.com/doc/current/GS9_Color_Management.pdf#page=39 . I
don't know though if this is the answer but it would even eliminate
calling podofo. Any information regarding that would also be very
useful.
